Do you know if this jacket meets Ultra Trail Australia Requirements ie: waterproof, breathable, fully taped waterproof seams and hood and when it is packed in a back pack how small and light is it?

Yes this jacket is waterproof up to 15,000m/m, it is breathable - Moisture vapour transfer rate (MVTR) - 7000grams/m2 per 24hrs, it is fully seam sealed and it weighs 330 grams. Unfortunately the hood does not pack away with this jacket.

how does the sizing compare to Kathmandu gortex jackets
Asked by: robyn o
The sizing of this rain jacket is very relative to our sizing of the Goretex jackets but we recommend using our sizing chart for more information. If you have a Kathmandu Goretex jacket that fits you then I would recommend selecting the same size for this jacket.
I recommend taking into consideration allowing room for layers if you wish to wear these underneath so you may want to select one size bigger if so.

Hi, would this be suitable as a running jacket ie lightweight yet wind and rainproof?
Asked by: JPDJ
You could use this jacket running but it isn't a true running jacket. The Pertex™ Shield fabric used in this jacket is waterproof and breathable in a classic hiking style & cut, it would be great for shorter runs but potentially not breathable enough or light enough for longer distance runs. If this is the case check out our Zeolite Womens ShakeDry jacket which is an amazingly lightweight, highly waterproof & breathable running jacket.

Would I have to go a size up if I do wear layers underneath?
Asked by: dhivv
This Jacket is designed to be worn with layers, so you should be able to comfortably wear a base-layer & a medium weight mid-layer underneath.

lovely and light; have been able to test it in rain and seems fine; if i want to wrap velcro around wrists to make the cuffs tight - not quite enough velcro; I went a size up as recommended to enable warm jumpers underneath which was good advice; an inside pocket and /or easy access map holder would be good but overall very good

A wonderful rain jacketI brought this for a whale watching tour mid-November and so very happy I did. The weather was very windy, cold and wet and the rain jacket kept me warm and dry. We have since had heavy showers and it has kept me dry. It will be a marvellous item of clothing when showing our dogs should we the weather turn cold and wet.

Not too long sleevesI bought this for a weekend sport event as I knew it was going to rain. Just good length sleeves for me as normally every jacket has too long sleeves. Very good buy

Great jacketI bought this jacket recently. I really like it. Its rain proof, light, has good pockets, hood and porthole for earphones. I just would like the jacket to be longer. Butt gets wet when it rains.
