Rated 5 out of 5 by Nisa57 from Love the design After 3 expensive jacket failures I bought this one. I’m delighted to say that during a multi day hike where we had torrential rain, high winds, and snow this jacket remained waterproof and I remained dry and warm. Plenty of room for a insulating layer, the hood was good for being deep enough to shield face but also allow movement and sight, and the extra length didn’t ride up and allow water to seep in around pack. Very happy with its light weight when you’re carrying everything on your back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LM09 from Good and bad The jacket itself is made of quality material. However, it is a long jacket which extends well over my bum. I am about 165cm tall and bought a size 6. The arms are long such that I have taken to rolling the sleeves up at the cuff rather than using the Velcro tabs as this stops airflow. I find the hood doesn't fit well when I have my hair up (or a layer underneath) and have to wear my hair in a low bun to get a good fit for the hood. The zipper constantly gets stuck on the flap underneath, so I find it is almost impossible to get a smooth zip from bottom to top. Finally, I'm not a fan of the pockets and would much prefer if they were in a conventional location. Would I buy it again? No, but it might work for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kaate from Excellent for hiking and bushwalking The last Goretex jacket I bought lasted over 10 years of use. This jacket has a better layout in terms of features, the hood is deeper which is great for having your hair tied up when outdoors. 10/10

Will I be able to layer this up and wear it for skiing? Do I need to size up in that case?
Yes this jacket would be ok for skiing. If I were you, I would size up if planning on layering up.

This Jacket is designed with layering in mind so you should be able to comfortably fit a base layer & medium weight mid layer underneath, the trail head fleece would work great.
