Strowan Men's ngx Hiking Shoes is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all round shoe Bought a pair of these 6 months ago to travel around Europe. Took them on the Trolltunga hike in Norway through mud, water, snow, ice and slippery rocks and they were brilliant. Not one blister on my entire trip during my 8 hour days on foot. Right on the last week of my trip I noticed the vertical seam on the instep of left shoe had come apart. Took them straight back to the shop I bought them from without receipt (thank god for the club membership cards) and they were replaced with a brand new pair! Extremely happy with that and it goes to show Kathmandu care about their name and their warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really comfortable and waterproof but ... These are really comfortable shoes bought for our 5 week trip around Europe. They remain super comfortable and great for wearing all day but 4 weeks into the trip I noticed the uppers have developed faults in all the creases so they are no longer waterproof or nice looking. Such a shame as they were wonderful shoes but ridiculously expensive if they have such a short life span.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well thought out shoe. Thought I would put in a few miles before offering up some thoughts on these shoes. Well detailed inner with a gusseted tongue to keep out the water and the outer is nicely put together and well sewn , shrugs off the rain. I did try some other more expensive approach shoes at circa £130 before buying these but these fitted better - Kathmandu is a brand new to me so I checked them out with a relative in N.Z. first, who is in fact sending Kathmandu items as Xmas presents to the UK so I took that as a recommendation. Vibram sole with a good solid feel yet with just enough give to be comfortable, very good laces (not always the case with other brands) , I did replace the insoles with another make but then these are in all my other shoes too. I prefer lace holes to metal cleats or fabric loops and with six pairs per shoe you can really tighten them up on your feet. Would happily buy another pair - at the moment they are never off my feet . Excellent value too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Much smaller than advertised. These shoes were supposed to be an UK 13, but the European sizing on the shoes label put them as a 12, which they must have been as they were far too small. You need to check your conversions!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking comfortable shoe Purchased these about 1 month ago for a trip to New Zealand, i wanted something that is reasonably durable with a decent look. I have been wearing them in before the trip, they are very comfortable and look good. The trip will test the durability, they seem to be well made with a good grippy sole.I purchased these online, if they did not fit i could return to the nearest store this removed the problem of sizing . Free postage with good communication was a added bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shoes I bought these online on a weekend and they arrived on the Wednesday, great service. They have already been to Europe and back and to K L with no problems and very comfortable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, very durable I have used a pair of these for several years as my main walking shoes. They are very comfortable and have good toe protection. The leather resists abrasion from rocks very well. After almost 2000km the soles have finally worn through both at the same time. Great value for money!!
