Lindis Men's Hiking Trousers v2 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from ruggered, comfortable and long lasting I have bought a pair of these pants with this material to replace a pair similar that are about 7 years old. I was looking for material that is light, breathable, dry's quick, protects in the cold and from wind (as enjoy walking home from my gym even in the rain and winter plus travel to areas of similar nature) and able to handle a relentless beating. I haven't experienced snow winters but this material builds an environment within them a bit like a wetsuit hence my last pair of 7yrs. Which also had some sort of self belt / elastic. These are that. The belt construction on this is interesting. I have only had them for a month or will see how that goes. It may be the only issue years down the track still. Plus they are also great neat casual attire also for those sort of functions as are a great cut. The size for me is accurate relative to your known measurements. Very comfortable even on high temp days protection we have this summer in Oz. The colour is a little bit darker than the images but goes with everything as it is a bit unique, subtle and i will look for it more. I am contemplating buy another pair also as like the pair i am replacing these with i suspect when i want another pair of these in 7yrs they may not be available anymore. Keep up the great work guys. Another quality product. Love your stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair of pant; I am getting another pair fits well, comfortable to wear, cool in summer, warm in winter. I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I wish I could give it 5 stars! I would probably give these pants 4.5 stars if it were possible but they don't quite make the 5 stars. Let me explain... Firstly the pants themselves are fantastic. They dry VERY fast, they are super comfortable for not just hiking but everyday wear, they draw sweat away and the extra pockets are really useful. I've got 2 pairs and I wear them to work nearly every day. I've used them on hikes overseas, in peat bogs, in snow and for work in tropical North Queensland. (They were awesome - People! Don't be worried about polyester in hot/humid environments. You are going to sweat regardless - do yourself a favour and buy clothing that will dry quick and give you more freedom of movement and better air flow.) I could not recommend these pants higher. Now the belt... Both of my pants (one older, one newer) have really annoying belt buckles. The older belt systems comes loose all the time. I think it is just a poor design where it loops through. The newer system is different and doesn't come loose...unless you lean on something. Lean against a bench or anything really and, POP. Sometimes I haven't even realised I've done it until I feel my pants getting heavier and lower due to my wallets ever growing loyalty card "collection". Definitely not because there's more money in it!! I think if the newer buckle was stiffer so it didn't come apart as easily, I would honestly give these pants a full 5 stars. I really, truly like them and recommend them to everyone but fix the buckle issue and you really have a brilliant pair of pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! I had already bought a pair of the Hiking trousers before travelling overseas in June this year. They are superb; tough, quick dry, and show no signs of wear despite being worn everyday plus regular washing. Consequently I bought a second pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First class product. Sturdy, but lightweight and very fast drying pants. Ideal for wearing into the hills at any time of the year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good trousers but belt is rubbish The trousers are fine but the belt provided is RUBBISH. It keeps coming undone and when it does stay together then it loosens itself! Trying to replace the belt with an alternative is a nightmare. I definitely wont be buying these again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would instead recommend... The trousers are light and comfy, as can be expected. However, the belt it comes with cannot easily be removed, and is not ideal as it springs open quite easily. Another problem (which may be specific to my pair) are the seams near the knees, which are scratchy and irritating. If you are considering buying this, I would instead recommend the Zip Off Cargo Trousers. These are also from Kathmandu, are usually the same price, are more comfy and can be turned into shorts so are still ideal for hiking.
