Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Weight and Waterproof! Another great jacket from Kathmandu! Great fit, great features, and keeps the water out. Can even layer my Heli puffer underneath for warmth and still have good movement. My only negative is that I have found the front hand pockets to be on the small side, just don't seem to be wide enough. I have never come across this with any of my other Kathmandu jackets. Other than that I'm really stoked with the jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lookin’ Good. Time will Judge Maybe better to seek feedback several months after purchase so one can give genuine feedback based on experience? For now, it’s light enough for long hikes and keeps our suburban showers, but that’s not conclusive

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Spring/Autumn Worn this several times now in cool to warm conditions. Great features including slide in chest pocket. No zip up hood would be my only issue but can't complain as I knew that before buying. Very light and easy to stow in luggage. Versatile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket Sometimes, pocket will get wet under the heavy rains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof in heavy downpour I bought the jacket a few weeks ago in store so that I could try it first. Kept me dry in recent heavy rain so would definitely recommend. Keeps wind out very well and is light. One annoying minor issue is when trying to zip it up fully there is a flap that gets in the way and need to move it away before it zips up fully. A solid peak for the cap would help too. All in all an excellent jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket I bought last years' version of this for the Overland Track and have been quite happy with it. Waterproof, comfortable and I've found that by zipping the front zip all the way up it holds the hood in place quite well (wind won't flip it back). The only downside I found was that even with the zips under the arms I still found it hard to regulate heat inside, even in cold weather - my clothes under it would end up quite wet with sweat.

What are the differences between this jacket and the Andulo Rain Jacket v2? Looking for something for the occassional family weekend camping trip or to wear to kids sports etc (nothing hardcose)

Asked by: RSCG
The Trailhead is lighter weight jacket with greater waterproofing (10,000mm),a great all rounder with a good cut and features for Hiking. The Andulo isn't quite as waterproof & is a heavier jacket with a more urban cut & style. Both will work great for what you have described, the Trailhead the winner for anything more adventurous.
