The Kathmandu Adventure Series seeks to challenge experienced athletes and novice competitors alike through providing an opportunity to see what the sport of adventure racing is all about. If you’re seeking variation in your training routine, a personal challenge or simply an opportunity to meet new people the Kathmandu Adventure Series is a worthy choice.
Entrants should anticipate elements of the fast and furious with teams having to change between disciplines several times during the event. A ‘sprint’ adventure race incorporating simple navigation, mountain biking (20km), kayaking (3km), trail running (10km) and an obstacle or two!
The Kathmandu Adventure Series is designed for teams of two (male, female and mixed teams of two). Teammates must complete the event together, working as a team.
Dates for the 2008 Kathmandu Adventure Series are:
- 12 & 13th January 08 Blue Mountains, NSW
- 9th February 08 Yarra Bend, VIC
- 30th March 08 Sunshine Coast, QLD
- 22nd June 08 Royal National Park, NSW
- 20-21st September 08 Central Coast, NSW (24 hour event)
- 16th November 08 Lysterfield Lake Park, VIC
And for some added motivation keep in mind the end prize of $3,000 worth of prizes per event provided by Kathmandu.
