A windproof shell with DWR finish makes this men's duck down jacket ideal for keeping warm. Full zip, two zipped hand warming pockets, elastic bound hood and sleeve openings, internal zipped pocket with headphone port, elastic loop at neck edge for holding headphones in place, tricot Inner collar for warmth, close fitting hood, draw cord hem. Stuffs into sac (included).

Soak for up to 60 minutes (in sink or in machine on soak cycle). Use laundry soap. Do not use fabric softener. Lightly squeeze out excess water - do not wring. For best results allow garmet to drip dry before tumble drying. Shake gently as wet down is heavy enough to damage fabric. Tumble dry thoroughly on very low heat. Excessive heat can damage down oils and fabric clumping will occur if garment is not dried thoroughly. After removing from dryer, shake to re-loft down and air for several hours before use or storage. If you do not have a tumble dryer, we recommend professional laundering.

The purpose of down insulation is to trap the heat emitted from your body and prevent it from diffusing into the cold air around you.
Duck down and goose down fill is the most efficient and comfortable insulation, providing an extremely high warmth to-weight ratio. Kathmandu uses only high quality down fill, the performance of which is measured by loft power.
Loft power or loft, is calculated by measuring the volume an ounce of down occupies in a climate controlled test cylinder. The more volume occupied by an ounce of down [cu/in oz], the more air is trapped and the greater the insulation and warmth provided.
The higher the loft power, the better it will protect the user from the elements; for example, one ounce of 700 loft power down will occupy 700 cubic inches.
As down is a natural product, minor variations in loft power may occur between items.
